Why We Give

We give because God gave first. He didn't hold back His Son—He gave everything so we could have life. When we give, we're not just writing a check or making a donation. We're saying, "God, You're worth it. Your Kingdom is worth it. People's souls are worth it."
Giving isn't about obligation—it's about partnership. When you give to Rock Ministries and Calvary Gospel Church, you're partnering with us to preach the Gospel, serve the community, support missions, and build up the Body of Christ.
We believe in tithing and offerings as outlined in Scripture. The tithe (10% of your income) belongs to God, and offerings are what we give above that out of a thankful heart. We don't give to get—we give because we've already received so much.

Give Cheerfully
"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:7
God doesn't want your money—He wants your heart. Give joyfully, not out of guilt.
Give Proportionately
"On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper..." — 1 Corinthians 16:2
Give based on what God has blessed you with. Whether much or little, give faithfully.
Give First
"Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce..." — Proverbs 3:9
Don't give God what's left over—give Him the first and the best.
Give in Faith
"Bring the full tithe into the storehouse... and thereby put me to the test, says the Lord..." — Malachi 3:10
God promises to provide when we honor Him with our finances. Trust Him.
Questions About Giving
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! All donations to Calvary Gospel Church (including Rock Ministries) are tax-deductible. You'll receive a giving statement at the end of the year for tax purposes.
Can I designate my gift for a specific purpose?
Yes, you can designate your gift for missions, outreach, building fund, or other specific needs. Just indicate your preference when you give.
What if I can't afford to tithe right now?
Give what you can with a cheerful heart. God sees your faithfulness, and He honors obedience more than the amount. Start where you are and trust God to increase your capacity to give.
Do I have to give to attend Rock Ministries?
Absolutely not! You are welcome here whether you give or not. Giving is between you and God, and we will never pressure anyone to give.
